JASON ROOSTAEIAN, MD, FACS
Education & Honors
Dr. Jason Roostaeian, a Los Angeles native, obtained his undergraduate degree at UCLA with summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then attended UCLA medical school where he earned the prestigious UC Regents Scholarship, “the UC’s highest recognition of academic excellence.” In medical school he received Alpha Omega Alpha honors, as well as the Longmire Medal, which is awarded to the top graduating student in surgery.
Specialized Training
Dr. Jason’s academic excellence and medical licensing exam score in the 99th percentile qualified him for UCLA’s highly competitive combined General Surgery + Plastic Surgery program, which is offered to only one applicant per year. The UCLA Plastic Surgery program is widely known to be one of the top training programs in the country.
After completing his residency training, Dr. Jason was then chosen to pursue additional specialization in Advanced Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. This is considered to be the top aesthetic training program in the United States, with faculty among the most innovative leaders in cosmetic plastic surgery preparing the future leaders in plastic surgery.
Dr. Jason, dedicated to the art and science of plastic surgery, then returned to the UCLA Plastic Surgery Division to complete a fellowship in Microvascular Surgery where he focused on breast reconstruction, microsurgery, as well as complex reconstruction of the head and neck, and lower extremity.
Expertise & Innovation
Dr. Jason is passionate about being at the forefront of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, authoring over 50 peer reviewed articles and book chapters in leading plastic surgery textbooks and journals, as well as lecturing about innovative techniques to other plastic surgeons around the world.
Dr. Jason Roostaeian’s main areas of clinical expertise are in facial aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, and microsurgery. Dr. Jason also specializes in cosmetic injectables, body contouring procedures, and elective breast surgery with stunningly natural results.

In recent years he has presented at the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) Meeting, the Dallas Rhinoplasty Conference, the ASAPS Facial Symposium, the South American Plastic Surgery (SAPS) Meeting, and more.
Dr. Jason’s role as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine ensures that he remains at the forefront of innovation and education.
